- I had the same problem last week with the same modem, except mine would connect
- then disconnect almost immediately to my ISP. Know what I did? I returned the
- modem to the store and got a replacement. This new one works perfectly!

- You may want to try doing the same. Could be a bad chip, which is supposedly
- rare. I had two bad USR 28.8/33.6 Externals before I got one that worked. I
- guess third time's a charm. -Chance W.
